“Echoes of Dartford” is the Dartford Heritage Bear with the town’s stories preserved in honeycomb cells. This design combines the structure of a honeycomb with historical pictures of old Dartford. Each honeycomb cell contains a different scene from the town’s past – its people, buildings, and community life – forming one unified artwork across the bear’s body. The
honeycomb pattern symbolises unity, structure, and cooperation, while the scenes within it represent Dartford’s heritage and shared history. Together, they tell the story of a community where every individual – like a bee in a hive – plays a vital role in creating something greater than themselves
