HENRIKA AND BARBORA STASIULE
“Echoes of Dartford” is a bear that tells the town’s story through memories captured in honeycomb cells. The design combines the structure of a honeycomb with historical images of old Dartford.
Each honeycomb cell contains a different scene from the town’s past – its people, buildings, streets, and community life – forming a unified artwork across the bear’s body. The honeycomb pattern symbolises unity and connection, while the scenes within it reflect the memories and stories that have shaped Dartford over time.
Together, they create a visual journey through Dartford’s past, highlighting the moments and memories that continue to connect its community today.
